“Iris in Bloom” is the Controlled Chaos collection at its most ambitious — a 40 x 90″ triptych that commands attention from across any room. The palette pulls from the flower that gives it its name: deep purples and blues push against bright yellows and golds, with whites breaking through and blacks anchoring the chaos. The drips run vertical, the gestural marks cut horizontal, and the whole thing vibrates with energy that somehow holds together.
Each panel works on its own but wants to be with the others. The colors flow across the seams, creating continuity while the breaks between panels add rhythm and breathing room. Hung together, they create the kind of presence that changes a space — not background art, not decoration, but a statement.
The texture is substantial throughout. Paint has landed on paint, building up in layers you can see from across the room and feel if you get close. Light catches the ridges differently depending on the time of day, giving the piece a life that flat prints can’t replicate.
