Curated Series, Each with It’s Own Story
My collections draw inspiration from the full spectrum of my environment and inner world — from the peaceful edges of Lake Michigan to the energetic pace of my own chaotic, hyperactive mind. Each series reflects a different facet of my creative process and offers viewers a distinct emotional experience. Some are rooted in place. Others are rooted in feeling. All of them are deeply personal.
My Wave Over Me series is rooted in the calming presence of Lake Michigan. Using layered textures and intentional paint movement, I aim to help viewers feel the same sense of quiet, grounding, and relief that the shoreline provides. The pieces invite people to stand still, breathe, and imagine the water stretching out before them. Many incorporate real beach sand collected from New Buffalo Public Beach, Warren Dunes, and other Southwest Michigan shores — artwork that doesn’t just depict the coast, but contains it.
In contrast, my Controlled Chaos series channels the rapid-fire thoughts and restless energy of my mind. At first glance, these paintings may appear disorganized or unpredictable, but a closer look reveals a deliberate, semi-uniform structure beneath the surface. The series balances chaos and intention — mirroring the way I navigate my own thought patterns.
My New Buffalo Glow collection captures the vibrant light, color, and atmosphere of the region I call home. These sunset paintings hold the golden hour over Lake Michigan — the slow fade from amber to violet, the stillness that settles as the day ends.
This led to the development of my Let It Glow backlit feature series, a patent-pending design that combines painting with integrated lighting to create a dramatic, illuminated visual effect. These works span multiple genres but share one unifying element: they transform the viewing experience through controlled, internal glow.
Additionally, I continue to expand my licensed University of Notre Dame collections, which include both fine art and photography. These pieces reflect my connection to the University and its powerful visual identity. As a South Bend native and one of only a handful of officially licensed Notre Dame artists, this work holds special meaning for me.

“Each series offers its own universe, giving me endless space to explore, innovate, and tell new stories through my art.”
– Chris “Clean the Artist” McLaughlin

Together, these collections — and the new ones constantly forming — keep me busy, inspired, and overflowing with ideas. From the textured coastal paintings of Wave Over Me to the sculptural florals of Flower Flow, from the bold energy of Controlled Chaos to the illuminated drama of Let It Glow, each series gives me room to experiment and grow. The Shamrock and Irish collections let me celebrate Notre Dame through officially licensed fine art. Cast Copper explores metallic texture and warmth. And New Buffalo Glow keeps me connected to the place I’m lucky enough to call home.
Wave Over Me
Sand-integrated coastal paintings built with real Lake Michigan beach sand. These textured waterscapes capture the rhythm of the shoreline — artwork that doesn’t just depict the coast, but contains it. Commissions available using sand from any beach you provide.
Controlled Chaos
Bold abstracts where structure meets spontaneity. What appears chaotic from a distance reveals deliberate composition up close — layers building on layers, colors colliding, textures emerging until something unexpected takes shape.
Let It “Glow”
Patent-pending backlit canvases with remote-controlled illumination. Turn the lights on and the painting transforms — colors shift, depth emerges, and the piece takes on an entirely different presence.
